A gathering of family and friends after a funeral gives everyone an opportunity to spend time together sharing memories and comfort. Martha's Table Ministry provides a funeral reception for parishioners of St. Andrew. The ministry is administered by a committee of volunteer members of the parish and is open to anyone in the parish to participate with their donation of time, talent and/or food.
Receptions are held immediately following the Funeral Mass or Memorial Service in the Family Center. Families should first speak with Fr. Juan Anzora about their needs. If a reception is desired, the family will be contacted by one of our ministry co-chairs.
Monetary donations from the family are not necessary but are gratefully accepted and enable Martha's Table Ministry to continue to offer funeral receptions. If you would like to make a donation, you may make a check payable to St. Andrew Catholic Church with "Martha's Table" in the memo section.
Interested in becoming a volunteer of Martha's Table Ministry?
Volunteers help with setup, cleanup and food donations. Tasks are set through an online signup program where volunteers can choose how to help.
We do not expect for volunteers to signup to help at every funeral, but we do hope to cover all the slots with the volunteers we have.
Informational Meeting: for new and current volunteers on Monday, March 6, 2023 at 5:30 PM in our library. Please RSVP for the informational meeting to Terry Lonergan at [email protected].
