Respect Life Month / Mes del Respeto a la Vida

During the month of October, Catholics in The USA specifically pray for the gift of all human life from conception to natural death. As a parish, we are also praying for guidance as we pursue the formation of a Respect Life Ministry.


Opportunities for prayer for Respect Life and the Creation of a Ministry at St. Andrew,

  • Offer a daily prayer and reflection with information from Respect Life Exhibit in the Narthex.
  • Join the Nocturnal Adoration, in Spanish, on October 4 in the church from 7 PM to 6:30 AM.
  • Pray the Holy Rosary Wednesdays at 8:30 AM in the chapel - Sponsored by the Over 55 Club
  • Pray the Holy Rosary on October 14, at 6 PM, in the Family Center - Sponsored by the CCW

  • Respect Life Novena from October 15 to 23 (M-F at 9:30 AM, Tuesday at 7:30 PM [Sp], Saturday at 5 PM, and Sunday at 8:30 AM [Sp] and 11 AM.

Durante el mes de octubre, los católicos en EEUU oramos específicamente por el don de la vida desde la concepción hasta la muerte natural. Como parroquia, también estamos orando para que el Señor nos guíe en el proceso de formación de un ministerio de Respeto a la Vida, Justicia y Paz.

  • Novena Respeto a la Vida, del 15 al 23 de octubre (lunes  a viernes 9:30 AM, martes 7:30 PM, sábado 5 PM, y domingo 8:30 AM y 11 AM).

St. Brigid is hosting dinner and a movie on St. Carlo Acutis on Saturday, Oct. 4, a life chain on Sunday, Oct. 5 and a holy hour for life on Monday, Oct 6. Contact respectlife.saintbrigid@gmail.com for more details.

St. Oliver is hosting a life chain on Respect Life Sunday, October 5, as well as a cemetery of the innocents display.

Additionally, several parishes are participating in 40 Days for Life, a peaceful and prayerful witness effort outside of local abortion centers. Check out the website to find a location near you.
