Respect Life Month / Mes del Respeto a la Vida

During the month of October, Catholics in The USA specifically pray for the gift of all human life from conception to natural death. As a parish, we are also praying for guidance as we pursue the formation of a Respect Life Ministry.


Respect Life Ministry proclaims that human life is a precious gift from God. As such, every life is protected and cherished. Through prayer and evangelization, our ministry focuses on activities that support the sanctity of human life from conception to natural death. Opportunities for Prayer and Presence during Respect Life Month

  • Daily prayer and reflection with information from the Respect Life Exhibit in the Narthex.
  • Holy Rosary on Thursdays at 8:30AM in the Chapel
  • Nocturnal Adoration, in Spanish, on October 3
  • Holy Rosary at 6PM on October 13 in the Family Center –Sponsored by the CCW
  • Diaper Drive for the Pregnancy Aid Clinic October 9-18 –Sponsored by the Knights of Columbus.
  • Respect Life Novena October 22 to 30 (after the 9 AM daily Mass and Sunday 10 AM Mass)
  • October 28 at 7 PM Joey Martinek-Director of Respect Life Ministry in the Archdiocese of Atlanta and Mary Grace Germain -Education and Community Outreach Manager at PAC- will make a presentation.
  • Holy Hour on October 29 at 6PM
  • Join Respect Life activities at other parishes.

  • Oración y reflexión diaria con información de la Exhibición Respeto a la Vida en el Nártex.
  • Grupo Nuevo Amanecer (soporte para personas en duelo), jueves, 6:30-8PM, sala pequeña de conferencias
  • Santo Rosario los viernes, vía Zoom, a las 3:30PM, patrocinado por el grupo Oración por Amor a Dios (Irma: 470-382-9280).
  • Adoración Nocturna, el 3 de octubre, en la iglesia.
  • Campaña de Colecta de Pañales para la Clínica de Ayuda al Embarazo (PAC) - Patrocinado por los Caballeros de Colón.
  • Novena Respeto a la Vida, del 22 al 30 de octubre, después de Misa (lunes a viernes 9:30 AM, martes 7:30 PM y domingo 8:30 AM).
  • Santo Rosario, el 13 de octubre, 6 PM, en el Centro Familiar - Patrocinado por el Gremio de Mujeres.
  • Santo Rosario el 22 de octubre, 7 PM, en la iglesia - Patrocinado por el Ministerio del Jardín.
  • Hora Santa, el 29 de octubre, 6 PM, en la iglesia

Events Around the Archdiocese

  • Several parishes are participating in 40 Days for Life, a peaceful and prayerful witness effort outside of local abortion centers. Check out the website to find a location near you.
  • St. Brigid Catholic Church will host author/speaker Lauren Eden, abortion survivor, and her mother, Karen Stoll on Saturday, October 3, at 6 p.m. Dinner will be catered by Ippolitos, $15 per person. RSVP to respectlife.saintbrigid@gmail.com.
  • Additionally, at St. Brigid, there will be a Life Chain event on Sunday, October 4, at 2:30 p.m. and a holy hour for life on Monday, October 5, at 7 p.m. Contact respectlife.saintbrigid@gmail.com for more information.
