Visiting a new church can be intimidating: What should I expect? Where do I park? Where do my kids go?

We understand the many thoughts that can come from visiting a new church, so we want you to feel completely comfortable when you visit. Below are some frequently asked questions. If you have any additional questions, don't hesitate to contact us or talk with an usher when you visit.

Visitar una nueva iglesia puede ser intimidante: ¿Qué debo esperar? ¿Dónde estaciono? ¿A dónde van mis hijos?

Entendemos los muchos pensamientos que pueden surgir de visitar una nueva iglesia, por lo que queremos que se sienta completamente cómodo cuando la visite. Weekend Masses

• Saturday Vigil: 4:00 PM (English) 
• Sunday: 7:30 AM (Spanish), 10:00 AM (English and livestreamed), 1:00 PM (English) and 5:00 PM (Spanish)
  

Weekday Masses

• Tuesday - Friday: 9:00 AM (English in the chapel) There is a Communion Service on Mondays.
• Tuesday: 7:00 PM (Spanish in the church)
• Wednesday: 6:30 PM (English in the chapel) 
  

When is confession?

• Tuesdays from 5:30 - 6:45 PM 
• Thursdays from 6:00 - 7:00 PM

How do I get to St. Andrew?

Our parish is located at 675 Riverside Rd. Roswell, GA 30075. We are right on the river.

Where should I park?

We have a large parking lot as well as a gravel "overflow" lot next to the chapel.

Where do my children go?

We have faith formation available for children grades 1-12 from 11:15-12:30 on Sundays. Please email the appropriate coordinator if you would like your children to attend. We encourage families to attend Mass together (children, parents, grandparents, friends, all are welcome!) The Eucharist is the source and summit of our Catholic faith and we know children learn best from repeated exposure. If you feel your child is overly disruptive, feel free to take them into the Narthex where you can still see and hear the Mass.

Tenemos formación en la fe disponible para niños de 1º a 12º grado de 11:15 a 12:30 los domingos. Envíe un correo electrónico al coordinador correspondiente si desea que sus hijos asistan. Alentamos a las familias a asistir a misa juntas (niños, padres, abuelos, amigos, ¡todos son bienvenidos!) La Eucaristía es la fuente y la cumbre de nuestra fe católica y sabemos que los niños aprenden mejor de la exposición repetida. Si siente que su hijo es demasiado perturbador, siéntase libre de llevarlo al Nártex donde aún puede ver y escuchar la Misa.

I’m not Catholic, how do I know when to sit, stand and kneel?

There’s no need to be self-conscious about the postures and responses used during worship. Most visitors just follow the lead of our parishioners. However, we do have books located in each pew that provide you with the order of the mass, the postures, and the words of each prayer. If you don't see a book in your pew, or you need some help navigating it, ask an usher, and they will be happy to assist you.

No soy católico, ¿cómo sé cuándo sentarme, pararme y arrodillarme?

No hay necesidad de ser consciente de las posturas y respuestas utilizadas durante la adoración. La mayoría de los visitantes simplemente siguen el ejemplo de nuestros feligreses. Sin embargo, tenemos libros ubicados en cada banco que le brindan el orden de la misa, las posturas y las palabras de cada oración. Si no ve un libro en su banco o necesita ayuda para navegarlo, pregúntele a un acomodador y estará encantado de ayudarlo.

I’m not Catholic, is it okay for me to participate in communion?

Communion, or The Eucharist, is the most intimate expression of our faith. Catholics believe that the host is actually the body of Christ, transformed from bread by the priest presiding over the service. Most evangelicals think of Communion as symbolic, so it makes sense that they are not as strict about having the right relationship with it as Catholics and Orthodox Christians who believe it is a sacrament and the true presence of Christ. So, if you are not Catholic, we ask that you not receive communion. However, those not receiving the Body of Christ and Precious blood are invited to come forward with their hands crossed over their chests for a special blessing.

No soy católico, ¿está bien que participe en la comunión?

La Comunión, o La Eucaristía, es la expresión más íntima de nuestra fe. Los católicos creen que la hostia es en realidad el cuerpo de Cristo, transformado de pan por el sacerdote que preside el servicio. La mayoría de los evangélicos piensan que la Comunión es simbólica, por lo que tiene sentido que no sean tan estrictos en cuanto a tener la relación correcta con ella como los católicos y cristianos ortodoxos que creen que es un sacramento y la verdadera presencia de Cristo. Entonces, si no eres católico, te pedimos que no recibas la comunión. Sin embargo, aquellos que no reciben el Cuerpo de Cristo y la Preciosa Sangre están invitados a pasar al frente con las manos cruzadas sobre el pecho para recibir una bendición especial.
