ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR
Williams Martinez is from Venezuela. He has lived in Georgia since 2015 and is a member of St. Andrew since 2016. Williams is a Certified Personal Trainer with the National Academy of Sports and Medicine (NASM). He is currently doing a Master of Bodybuilding and wants to compete next year. He is also a salsa instructor and teaches every week in different places around the city. He was a basketball coach in Venezuela since he was 15 years old and worked here as a PE teacher for 5 years.
Williams is married to his wife Trilce. She is a cancer survival. Since her recovery in 2019, Trilce workouts out every morning. She used to be a dance instructor in Venezuela. They have twins- girl and boy who play basketball for Fulton County. Williams' 72-year-old mother, who also worships at St. Andrew, worksout with him every afternoon.
Williams' desire to help the St. Andrew community grew from an idea he had while seating at Mass in the summer of 2024. In his homily, Fr. Juan was talking about how our body is a temple and a gift from God and how we are called to treat our bodies with respect and honor God through our physical and spiritual well-being.
