All Souls / Todas las Almas

We will have the traditional All Souls Novena of Masses from October 28 through November 2.  During this period of time, we will keep all of our deceased loved ones in our prayers.  Envelopes to list all of your family and friends that you wish to be remembered in this celebration are available in the Narthex,  church office, or by using the form below. 


In addition to this Novena of Masses, we will have a book for you to sign, listing the names of your deceased loved ones.  The book will be placed at each of the Church doors for the weekend of Oct. 25-26 and displayed near the Altar during Masses from November 2-6.

Del 28 de octubre al 2 de noviembre tendremos nuestra tradicional Novena de Misas en honor a los difuntos. Durante este periodo de tiempo tendremos a nuestros difuntos en nuestras oraciones.  Pase por la Oficina Parroquial; por el Narthex por un sobre para anotar sus familiares y amigos que desea que se recuerden en esta Novena de Misas. Además tendremos un libro en la entrada de la Iglesia en fin de semana del 25-26 de octubre donde puede anotar los nombres de sus difuntos.  El libro será exhibido cerca del Altar durante las Misas del 2 al 6 de noviembre.

Throughout the universal Church, the faithful departed are celebrated on November 2, a time when the Church remembers and intercedes for all the souls of those who have passed on to a new life. Día de los Muertos, or "Day of the Dead”, is primarily a Mexican tradition, also celebrated in other Latin American countries, that celebrates the Church’s teaching on the Communion of Saints and to pray for the souls of the deceased. This tradition is meant to embrace death as part of the cycle of life and as something that need not be feared. All the decoration items used have a meaning. THE INVITATION: Our Spanish speaking ministries will dedicate a space in the church to commemorate All Souls Day. Parishioners are invited to bring framed pictures of their deceased loved ones and place them on the altar that will be available in the Narthex from October 30 to November 3. Please pick up your pictures by November 3rd.


Invitación a Orar por Nuestros  Fallecidos

En toda la Iglesia universal, los fieles difuntos se celebran el 2 de noviembre, momento en el que la Iglesia recuerda e intercede por todas las almas de quienes han pasado a una nueva vida. El Día de los Muertos, es una tradición principalmente mexicana, también celebrada en otros países latinoamericanos,que celebra las enseñanzas de la Iglesia sobre la Comunión de los Santos y la oración por las almas de los difuntos. El Día de los Muertos pretende abrazar la muerte como parte del ciclo de la vida y como algo a lo que no hay que temer. Todos los elementos de decoración utilizados tienen un significado. INVITACIÓN: Nuestros ministerios hispanos dedicarán un espacio en la iglesia para conmemorar el Día de Todos los Difuntos. Se invita a los feligreses a traer fotografías enmarcadas de sus seres queridos fallecidos y colocarlas en el altar que estará disponible en el Narthex del 30 de octubre al 3 de noviembre. Recoja sus fotografías a más tardar el  3 de noviembre.
